SIZING

Sizing is based on averages.  If your baby is slim and trim or a rolly polly, please take that into consideration when ordering.  Our covers are high waisted, meaning they fit long in body length to ensure the diaper is completely covered.

Pull-up style.  Single layer.  Keeps moisture in amazingly well, no leaking, no soaking through.  Made from high quality Malden Mills shearling fleece, they are water resistant while at the same time being breathable, allowing air flow to keep baby comfortable, much more so than standard plastic or nylon pants.  Innovative design eliminates the need for fold-over hems, so bulk is decreased dramatically.

Soft, adorable, beautiful natural buff color, almost too cute to cover with clothes.  These can be machine washed and dried, staying soft and fluffy (no pilling) with repeated washings.  Extremely durable, unlike plastic or nylon diaper covers which tend to break down with machine laundering.

SEPARATE DIAPERS AND COVERS VS ALL-IN-ONES

Why separate diapers and covers instead of "all-in-ones?" Simply because diapers and covers need different laundering techniques. Covers will break down faster if laundered as often and in the heavy duty way diapers need to be laundered, which means the all-in-one has a much shorter diaper life than a regular diaper. Also, covers can be used more than once before needing laundering whereas diapers need to be laundered after each use. That way you only need about 3-6 covers for every 2-3 dozen diapers, where with "all-in-ones" you are purchasing a cover sewn to each diaper...which is MUCH more expensive. Fleece covers, for example, can be rinsed out quickly and easily by hand, if needed quickly, and will dry in about 30-60 minutes if hung dry, or 5-10 minutes in the dryer...and they are SO soft!

As well, a cover that goes completely over a diaper prevents "wicking," the problem of wet diaper fabric coming in contact with baby clothing or bedding, hence "wicking" the moisture from the diaper onto other fabrics. An "all-in-one" diaper is essentially a cover sewn to the diaper instead of completely encasing it, as a separate cover does. That means there is diaper fabric exposed at the seams which can easily come in contact with clothing or bedding.
