Sweet Cheeks Cloth Diapers ~ Teddy Bear Pattern

This adorable little teddy bear stands just 8 1/2" tall.  Perfect for little hands to hold.

Materials: 26 cm x 68 cm cotton fabric.  9 mm plastic safety eyes (or leave the bear without eyes, or embroider eyes).  Plastic Pellets (200 gm) and/or soft batting stuffing.

INSTRUCTIONS

Cut out all pieces according to directions on pattern pieces.  Pin the body sections together (wrong sides facing) and sew all around leaving open the place where the head will be sewn in. Turn right side out. Fill the body with stuffing or pellets or a combination of both.  Set aside.  With the head sections, sew from A to B (wrong sides facing). Sew the ears together, two pieces per ear (wrong sides facing). Turn right side out and slip stitch along the opening. Place each ear in the slits on the side of the head and sew in catching both sides of the slit. Pin in the centre head and sew from the nose to the back of the head to the notch on both sides. Place in safety eyes (optional) and turn right side out.  Stuff the nose very firmly and the rest of the head just fill lightly up to the neck. Place the head opening into the opening at the top of the body hand stitch securely together.
